La série met en scène le quotidien mouvementé de quatre femmes : Susan Mayer, Lynette Scavo, Bree Van de Kamp et Gabrielle Solis. Desperate Housewives ou Beautés désespérées (au Québec) est un feuilleton télévisé américain créé par Marc Cherry et diffusé depuis le 3 octobre 2004 sur le réseau ABC. Le 7 août 2011, ABC et Marc Cherry d'un commun accord ont annoncé la fin de la série pour mai 2012 à l'issue de la huitième saison. En France, le feuilleton est diffusé depuis le 8 septembre 2005 sur Canal+ et le 23 mai 2006 sur M6 en VM, en Suisse depuis le 19 mai 2006 sur TSR1. En Belgique, la première saison a été diffusée à partir de novembre 2005 sur RTL-TVI puis BeTV a repris la série en proposant les épisodes inédits en avant-première par la suite. Good bye Bree, Gabrielle, Lynette and Susan. Dear Marcia, Eva, Felicity and Teri, I said my goodbye in the last two mintues to each of you, as these four scenes that I've shortened hide the reason why I love DH and all of you wonderful girls and AMAZING AMAZING actresses. Nothing will ever be the same without this fantastic show! It's been a pleasure watching it. I am very sad it is all over and there is nothing that could replace the thrill, excitement and joy over a new DH episode.
